2026.01.0 Downgrade to 2025.03.1

This guide describe the process of downgrading your Elios 3 to the version 2025.03.1

What you need

1. Elios 3 drone

2. USB cable and USB hub, both provided with the drone

3. Charged Elios 3 battery

4. Computer connected to the Internet with Inspector installed

What must be done

Download necessary files

Download the drone firmware 2025.03.1 swu file and the Cockpit 2025.03.1 apk from this link

Elios 3 drone downgrade via Inspector

1. Import all data currently on the drone and delete all drone data. Flyability can't guarantee that data will be retrievable following the downgrade

2. From Inspector DRONE view, click on the "Flash customer firmware" button

3. Select the gaston_2025.03.1.swu firmware file you just downloaded

4. Downgrade will start, wait until it finished

Cockpit application via the tablet

1. Connect the tablet to your computer with a USB cable

2. You will have to change USB mode from the notification pane, select "Transferring files / Android Auto", more information can be found in this article

3. Copy the the downloaded 2025.03.1 Cockpit apk to your prefered tablet folder, we suggest using the Download folder on the tablet

4. Uninstall the current version of Cockpit on the tablet, by going to Android settings / Apps / Cockpit and tap the Uninstall button

5. Go back to the home screen of the tablet and open the My Files application, go into the Download folder, find the correct apk, Cockpit-2025.03.1-release.apk, and tap on it. Android system may require you to allow installation, please accept.

6. Once Cockpit is installed, ensure the tablet is connected to the Internet and launch Cockpit, proceed with the initial setup steps.

Inspector

Inspector does not need to be downgraded, you will be able to use the latest version 26.1.0.21 with the drone firmware 2025.03.1
