This article guides through the process of connecting the Elios 3 to Inspector 5. This connection is used for importing data off of the Elios 3 drone and updating its firmware.

Instructions:
Open Inspector 5.
Click the (1a) Import tab.
Use a USB cable to connect the drone to the computer.
Power on the Elios 3 by plugging in a battery pack and pressing the power button. Please note that connection can take about 2 minutes to complete.
Once connected you will automatically be redirected to the Import page.
Troubleshooting:
When encountering an issue connecting the Elios 3 drone to Inspector, please refer to the following troubleshooting tips.
Is the Elios 3 powered on with a steady purple LED?
Try other USB cables, and ports.
Use the USB hub to connect through.
Recommended: USB-A Hub - USB 3.2 Gen 1.
Try a USB 2.0 cable.
Try another computer.
If the issue persists:
Disconnect the wifi, and try again.
Check that the avionics and camera SD cards are mounted in Windows File Explorer.
